A Word from the Chef – July 4th Grilling Tips Part 1

In preparation of your Independence Day celebrations… here are some tips from our Chef!

  • To prepare the grill, use extra virgin olive oil on an old rag, NOT  pan spray which is very dangerous near open flame.
  • All meats should be at almost room temp before grilling, not straight from the fridge, as they will cook better
  • When cooking hamburgers, flatten the ground beef before cooking.  Flattening while cooking will squeeze all the juices out and the burger will be dry
  • To keep your meats moist and flavorful – use a marinade!  Stay tuned for ‘July 4th Grilling Tips Part II’ for some of our favorites!
